I guess we are all creatures of habit. Its hard if we feel we have invested emotional energy into something, to change it. So what I did last night was I drank some Smooth move. I know I was complaining on how bad I hated it, but I thought "what the heck one last night", yup it doesn't end there though, I also did the salt water flush! But before the SWF I did my final weight in.
I started this journey at 139.8.....weight in this morning.......134.2! 5.6 lbs! I am happy and I am NOT going to complain. I just thought if I could get down to 135 on this cleanse, I will ecstatic, which I am. I also understand I did this cleanse mostly for HEALTH, not weight loss. But it still feels FREAKIN good to be able to be as thin as when I got married! And before I started having the 2nd batch of kids. Remember I have either been pregnant, or nursing for the past 7 years of my life. Ok back to the experience.....
So this morning was like other mornings, but instead of the lemonade, I juiced oranges and drank that.
What was it like tasting something other than lemonade? Well the straight juice was SO SWEET. I had to water it down a lot. It did taste refreshing and yummy. For some reason my taste buds also registered it as bitter all at the same time. Weird huh??
So I had freshly squeezed OJ for breakfast and lunch, or just when I felt a bit hungry. Its odd but it curved my hunger. I decided to make a soup for dinner. BUT I decided to do lentil soup, using some fresh home made stock I made last week. BIG MISTAKE!!!
I wanted to cook the lentils like the ones I grew up eating. Frying the onion and tomato, and after the lentils are done, making them like re-fried beans. BUT I resisted. Thank goodness I didn't, it would have TORE ME UP worse!
I went to the mall with my girls to do a little shopping. I found some great deals on a pair of boots and heels at Macys. I am looking for a dress to wear for Friday to La Caille. Well I am a size 8! Heheheh I'm giddy! Sorry I had to throw that in.
Nini snuck in a size 6 dress which I have NEVER fit a size 6 in my adult life, and it fit! WHAT?????? A little snug, but it fit. The size 10 dresses looked too big on me so I just stuck with size 8.
I must have tried on like 10-12 dresses and none fit right. They were all so short! What is up with that? Can a woman have a longer dress please?? These were all in the women department too. I will continue my search tomorrow or the next day, but I will find a dress.
Funny thing happened, Nini and the girls really wanted a treat. They were all good for me especially since I hardly ever take them shopping because they mostly act like neanderthals that haven't been civilized, so I promised something yummy for them if they behaved. They all decided to get Pretzel Time those little bits. Nini wanted to get nacho cheese....and I COULD NOT let her. It sounded too tempting, so they just got Parmesan. I couldn't touch the pretzel because my taste buds really wanted it.
Back to the lentils, I had cooked the lentils earlier so they could be done by the time we got back from the mall. I was so ready to eat some food. Well I did eat a small bowl of them, but I was still SO hungry...so I had another small bowl. Uhhhhhh NOT a good IDEA!!!! Right now, I am suffering. My tummy is crazy, it's making all sorts of noise. I have tons of gas, and I have fear of letting it rip due to accidental you-know-what. But I do feel bloated, really bloated. I should have just done a veggie soup....very basic. Tomorrow that is what I will have.
While I was eating the lentil soup, it was delicious. My taste buds were super excited.
But this will be a lesson learned, don't eat things that will make me feel like crap afterwards. One thing I must mention is that after eating the soup, I had tons of energy! I did a ton of chores! hehe
I also had that mental clarity that I so craved. I've been doing a lot of thinking about things. I feel more at peace. I hope this continues.
.
SO thats pretty much it for today. I had a really good day.
This blog is just a little something to share with those I love and to put pictures up for everyone to see. I hope you enjoy.

Master Cleanse Day 10 COMPLETE!!!!
I am a HUGE dork! I don't know why I did this, but I did. I drank my Smooth Move laxative tea like at 9:45 p.m. last night!!! What the?!?!?!? I will tell you what happened later. Like I mentioned yesterday, I was feeling sick. I was going to get it BAD. I felt my throat just hurting and swelling up. I was extremely cold, even more than I have been. I felt a different kind of chills. I prayed and prayed I wouldn't get sick, not only to finish this cleanse, but its my week to drive the carpool, and I would have to do it SICK -BOO!
I gargled with some warm water and sea salt. I also put some doTerra breathe essential oils on the bottom of my feet and chest and neck, drank a lot of water and PRAYED!
The darn smooth move tea woke me up at 5:15 am!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
The initial feeling was, I am sick, my troat was still sore and hard to swallow. But I drank some water and I felt FINE! whooo hooo!!!
I can't believe it! I fought this thing. Ok Like I said, I woke up really early and I didn't go back to sleep. So I felt really tired at first. What was I thinking on drinking the tea so darn early in the evening?
The salt water flush went really good. Nothing exciting, but what was going to happen. I was tired until about my 2nd glass of lemonade, then I felt MUCH better.
I had 9 o'clock church, so I had to get the girls and myself ready- check!
Did my calling at church how it was suppose to - check!
Came home fed the familia- check!
Then it was time for a sweet, sweet nap. I had energy today, but its Sunday, day of rest. The girls were all down for a nap, it would be sacrilegious if I DIDN'T take a nap you know? Nap was amazing! I have kept on having great sleep throughout this cleanse except that one night I talked about, but sleep is delicious.
I made dinner for the familia, and it wasn't even hard for me not to taste. (Leave it to day 10) I made some baked pancakes with blueberries. Got the recipe from here
http://www.bigredkitchen.com/2008/08/pancake-squares/
this is not my picture, but they did look like this. Instead of white flour, I made them with whole wheat flower, and cut down on the butter.
Cooked some sausage, and wasn't tempted to eat any of it. We are big breakfast people here so we can have breakfast dinner any given night of the week.
The girls loved it, and usually Sunday, we have a nice not-so-good-for-you dinner. (I promise were trying to change)
My mouth did water ONCE when I had to touch and break down a sausage for the baby. I really just wanted to LICK my fingers ha ha ha. BUT I DID NOT.
I just finished my final lemonade, and with great pride I sipped the last of the pulp up my straw. I am so excited that this is my LAST DAY! I really can't believe that I did it. It feels really good, and I feel accomplished! I know that I can have self control!
Tomorrow I will weight myself. I don't feel like I lost too much weight, but I'm hoping I'm surprised. Regardless, I know that the weight loss can be temporary if I eat wrong. I also finished a challenge I had with my husband, and I think (fingers crossed) I won. If I did, I get to go shopping. And what girl doesn't like that?
I will let you know what the results were as far as weight loss, and I might post some before & after pics.
IF you are planning and wanting to do this, I say you go for it. See how far you can push yourself. We eat 365 days a year, multiply it by how ever old you are, 13,140 for me, I'm sure you can take 10 days of that to detox your body and make yourself feel great. You deserve that. Your body is your temple, so lets do a spring cleaning (yes I am so ready for spring).
Results to follow tomorrow :)

Day 9. I can see the finish line
Day 9...a week ago was the hardest day of the cleanse, and today was completely different than that. Today was a pretty darn good day. I still woke up in the 6 o'clock hour, which I really don't mind if I have this kind of energy.
Everything worked as needed (Smooth Move tea & salt water flush) I had bowel movements, and this and that.
I cleaned the house really good too! But by looking at it now you wouldn't be able to tell. That is what happens when you have 3 little ones in the house just making a mess of things, but its OK. I have been extra thirsty today. The lemonade usually does the trick in satisfying my hunger and thirst, I was only drinking like 64 oz of water in addition to the lemonade but today, I'm sure I drank maybe a gallon (which is what I was drinking before the cleanse)
Today is Dr. Seuss' bday and in honor of him, I made green eggs and ham for the familia. Don't freak out, I made the eggs green by blending them with SPINACH not food dye. I might just do this again for St. Pattys
Ok so I'm sure your wondering, how was my massage?? Well it went pretty good, for a massage. My therapist was tiny. I promise, she was like 4"8' I didn't think she was going to have such force. But she did. she worked me, but the massage was mediocre. I've had so much better. I went to Massage Envy in AF, my hubby got me a gift cert for Christmas, and I finally used it.
I am happy I got to do a massage while still cleansing. Hopefully it will get stuff moving.
The only down part is that I think I'm getting sick. I think it's party of me detoxing, putting whatever I had held on in my muscles and bringing it to the surface. That happened to me last time I got a massage . BOO!! My throat is bothering me, but I will FIGHT this. I am drinking TONS of water.
Afterwards we went to Ross, didn't find a dang thing. Sometimes I love that store, and sometimes its a mess. Well today was a mess, and I was ready to spend! lol
Afterwards my famila was hungry. James suggested Panda Express, and Allerah really loves it. You know every time you are around Panda, that smell of orange chicken draws you in and makes you want to eat it. It usually happens to me every time I go to the mall, Panda smell just lures me in and gets me, so I told my familia I would stay in the car, but maybe 7 minutes later I decided to go in. I wanted to push myself to the limit. I was surprised what happened. I wasn't even tempted to eat that BAD-For-YOU food! I just brought my lemonade and sipped on it. I as busy feeding the girls, and cutting their food up. I mostly fed the baby, and the ultimate test completed.
I will finish this strong. I will not give up! I have the will power of a BULL!
I'm going to bed because like I mentioned, I feel like I am getting sick, pray I do not get sick. Tomorrow is Sunday, and it will be hectic.

Day OCHO (8)
There are 2 more days left folks....yes 2-more-days!! I was reading an article about the master cleanse, and I came across something interesting. It said while you were on the master cleanse, try understand why you crave what you crave.
I found that deep because I haven't really been tuning into my cravings I have just been ignoring them for the most part. For sure when I smell something, anything, I want to taste it, maybe feel the texture on my teeth, or the smoothness on my tongue, but I think the thing I have been craving the most and haven't been able to get off my mind are chips. Not just any chips, Tostito chips, maybe a little smothered with some nacho cheese. What the??? I have always considered myself a "chocolate girl", but surprisingly I have not craved sweets that much. What is it about the crunch that I want?? I will do some pondering. My friend on FB posted THIS on her page and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it!!!

Seriously???? A ghetto version of nachos, and THIS is what I crave and want??
I don't know maybe I see it as my comfort food? Not sure, but I might give in for just ONE chip with goooey cheese.
Ok sooo enough about that craving that I have, let's talk about how my day went.
It was so much better than yesterday. I felt really good. The Smooth Move didn't tear my bowels as much as it usually does, but I will warn you on this one... if you have to fart, do not chance it, at least in the mornings, just sit on the bathroom and handle your business.
The salt water flush was the same as other days...just a lot of using the bathroom which is a good thing.
The lemonade wasn't as undesirable as yesterday. My tongue feels raw, and I think I have been over doing it on the cayenne pepper, so I toned it down just a bit today because I was getting some serious heartburn.
In the morning I went to help my BFF move the last load of stuff she had in her old place and helped her get things somewhat organized. It was a sunny day, and it reached like 49 degrees today. The thing that gets me the most is that I am ALWAYS cold. I was so cold, and everybody around me thought I was crazy. I think I would be able to do the cleanse longer if that symptom wasn't there. I am just crazy cold. I even tried dancing and moving around, it doesn't really help.
Today I made chicken fried brown rice for the familia, It was the easiest day as far as not being super tempted to taste the food. I have to give myself some kudos about that. I thought that I was going to break at some point because of what I had read that you can't be around food. Yes I do admit it, the first several days were torture, but now I feel a sense of control. Which is one of the main reasons I think I started this cleanse in the first place. I wanted to be able to control what goes in my mouth. As a mother it is easy to eat the left over grilled cheese or quesadilla your kid leaves behind and not think twice about it. Well this cleanse has made me THINK a lot.
My girls started noticing that I wasn't eating. They think my stomach hurts because days before I started the cleanse I think I got some sort of food poisoning from In- n- Out. I explained to them what I am doing, and now they are aware. They are only 3&6 so too observant, they are not. haha
My tongue is getting less white and more pink I have noticed, and my energy level increases in the evening.
I haven't had that "clarity of mind" that many experience. I wish I had that. I am not sure if it is because with my religion I fast on a monthly basis, we go with out food or drink for at least 2 consecutive meals. Last time I fasted I did 24hrs and I felt that clarity of mind, but I have not felt it as much as I wanted to during this cleanse. As a matter a fact, I have broken things, spilled things, ripped things while on the cleanse. I'm not sure if it's fair to blame it on the cleanse, but it is a coincidence?
Tomorrow I have that long awaited massage. WHOOPTIDOO. They called to confirm so I am really looking forward to it. I feel a little selfish doing all these things for "me". But they sure are fun.
It's Friday night, and my husband is studying for his midterm, my teenager is on her way to California with my BFF because he got his mission call to serve the church today. So I am just here playing on Pinterest, and now typing this up. OH I forgot to mention, I just put a chicken carcass with some veggies in the crock pot to cook for some yummy home made stock in preparation of the yummy soup I will make on my ease out process. The smell of the chicken, and onion made my tummy growl, but I was A-O-K.
I will have some stock tomorrow morning, hopefully this works, I have tried to make stock before on the stove and it didn't quite work out. I was too impatient. I saw this recipe on Pinterest so I will let you know how it turns out.
Well goodnight. I think I'm going to hit the hay early.

Day 7...almost there
I am writing this one day late because I just didn't have time yesterday.
I took a break from the Smooth Moove tea...I actually had a couple of tea bags from previous days, and used those instead of using the full potent tea, and it was nice not having to feel so really crampy. It still did it's thing, but I think my body needed that break.
I woke up and did my salt water flush, and that went good. As good as it could go.
I went to help my BFF move from one place to another, I didn't do much heavy lifting or anything, but I was weak and cold and it wore on me for the rest of the day.
Today was the first day that I was feeling tired of my lemonade. I just didn't feel like drinking it. I drank it because I needed to, but my tongue feels raw, and the flavor is kinda getting on my nerves.
I think after this cleanse, lemonade will not be one of my favorite drinks.
My breath is nasty, and if feels I suck on pennies all day long. I sometimes have to brush my teeth, then put a little bit of peppermint essential oil on my tongue to be able to bare the taste of it. But it comes back. My tongue is still white, and I don't know if it will become pink in 10 days. I bet it's mostly white because of the darn lemons burning my taste buds off. HA
I have become accustomed to having to prepare and cook food for my family. That by FAR has been the hardest thing in this whole experience. I wish I could just taste what I make, but I can't and I won't. That's until I'm done with this cleanse. Will power of a HORSE!
My visiting teachers from church came over and one of them brought me some grapefruit sugar scrub which I later used in my detox bath. (more details to come)
I tried some pair of jeans that Nini (17 yr old daughter) had borrowed from me when I was thinner, and they fit. So I Indian-gave them back. haha Shes too short for them anyway and she never wore them, so I took them back. I was excited, because ever since I started having my 2nd batch of kids those jeans represented the thinnest I had been. So being able to fit into them, was nice.
For dinner, James (my hubby) really bucked up, I really wasn't in the mood to cook. He made french toast for the girls. He also wanted to make sausage, but he saw how bad it tortured me last time we made it, he decided to do without.
I took a much needed cat nap, and it felt great! It couldn't have been more than 20 min, but it made a huge difference in my energy level and attitude.
I can say that today, I was almost done with all of it. It just felt repetitive, and boring. I knew I wouldn't give up, but I was tired of it all.
Another thing that amazes me is that when you tell someone you are on a detox, it automatically starts a huge conversation on FOOD. Yup, stuff you CAN'T eat. I am not sure why, but it gets annoying having to remind people that you won't eat solid food for another X amount of days.
After I put the girls to bed, I took a nice LONG detox bath. Here is the recipe if interested.

Amount: Combine 1 cup sea salt, 1 cup Epsom salts and 2 cups baking soda in a bowl and blend. Pour approximately 1/2 cup of mixture into running bath water. Add 2 tablespoons of glycerin and 15 drops of eucalyptus essential oil.
Duration: Soak for approximately 20 minutes.
I got this nifty recipe from this web site:
http://www.guidetobodycleansing.com/detoxbathrecipes.html
It has some other cool recipes you can try. I did soak for much longer than 20 minutes though. My hubby had to study for his MBA midterm assignment so I was bathing solo. I have to admit, even though we have a huge tub, it was nice to have it to myself ;)
I lit a candle, put on Sade on Pandora....and it was ON! Full relaxation in motion.
I then used the grapefruit scrub my visiting teacher brought me, started with my hands and feet, and said "what the heck", lets do arms, legs, torso etc...... Oh man. I can't even describe how good I felt.
Then it was time for bed. Drank my Smooth Moove tea, and it was lights out.

Eucalyptus Detox bath:Purpose: Overall Detox
Amount: Combine 1 cup sea salt, 1 cup Epsom salts and 2 cups baking soda in a bowl and blend. Pour approximately 1/2 cup of mixture into running bath water. Add 2 tablespoons of glycerin and 15 drops of eucalyptus essential oil.
Duration: Soak for approximately 20 minutes.
I got this nifty recipe from this web site:
